Blockfix™

Blockfix™ is a specially developed thin joint and repair mortar used with ALC blocks. These thin-application products are produced to provide reliable adhesion while helping to minimise thermal bridging and other problems commonly associated with traditional mortars.

It is available in two colours, grey and white. A cementitious specially formulated thin joint and repair mortar used with ALC blocks. This ensures that the joint width is kept to a minimum hence eliminating the cause of thermal bridging associated with traditional mortars.

Uygulama

Preparation of surfaces

Ensure the ALC surface is free from loose particles, dust, dirt, grease and oil. Surface should be moistened with water immediately prior to application of Blockfix^TM ALC.

Mixing

Mix thoroughly with the recommended amount of water, with a high speed mixer or with a hand agitator for 3 – 5 minutes. Let the material stand for 5 minutes prior to application.

Application & cleaning of tools

Apply the Blockfix^TM ALC to the ALC surface using a mortar applicator or notched trowel to approx. 3 mm thickness. Place the blocks into the mortar ensuring good contact. Check the level and continue with next block. Remove excess material with a wet sponge before setting.

Clean tools and equipment with water after use.
