Product Overview

P Primer Pigmented is a highly developed product in liquid form, which is absorbed deeply into the substrate of cementitious materials, plasters and limes. It binds the substrate and the surface, to give a solid base for decorative finishing coats, such as Terraco Textured Coatings, paints and thin-layer mortars. It is supplied as white or tinted as per finish colour.

Properties

Aqueous acrylic copolymer emulsion with the following properties:

• Improves adhesion
• Binds dusting substrates
• Reduces efflorescence
• Reduces surface alkalinity
• Easy to apply
• Acts as a pigmented undercoat

Areas Of Use

For exterior and interior use on sand/cement render, cast-in-situ and precast concrete, lightweight concrete. Is especially suitable for sealing old, dry, absorbent, untreated concrete.

On surfaces such as concrete, blockwork, cement renderings and Terraco EIFS, it is recommended that Terraco P Primer be used prior to the application of all decorative finishes.

Application Method

Preparation of surface:
Ensure that all dust, dirt and foreign matter are scraped and brushed away. Also ensure the surfaces are free from salts, oil, grease and ridges. Protect all adjacent surfaces not to be covered. All cracks, chips, voids and damages should be repaired with a suitable repair compound from the Terraco range.

Preparation of Primer:
Thoroughly stir P Primer Pigmented until a homogenous liquid is formed.

Application Method:

Apply liberally and evenly by brush or appropriate spray equipment and allow to dry. Depending upon the surface condition, it may be necessary to apply a further coat. Terraco P Primer should be painted/covered as soon as possible, to ensure optimum adhesion.

Clean tools and equipment with water after use.
