Application Method

Surface Preparation

Ensure substrates are clean and sound. Remove all existing coatings, cement laitance, unsound honeycombing, and spalling concrete by suitable mechanical means.

Priming

Dry and porous substrates should be primed with Terraco Terrabond A diluted with water in a 1:3 ratio as a primer coat. Other surfaces should be saturated with water before application, but no standing water should be present.

Application

  • Apply one coat of Terraco Weathercoat Hydra mix (powder, resin & colourant) using brush, roller or spray and let it dry overnight.
  • On the corners, and joints and around pipes, apply one more coat of Terraco Weathercoat hydra mix and embed a layer of Terraco reinforcement mesh (should be embedded when the Weathercoat hydra layer is wet). Allow it to dry overnight.
  • Apply the second coat of Terraco Weathercoat Hydra mix as final coat, perpendicular to the first coat, applying each coat at right angles to each other, to a total thickness of 1.5(under tiles) & 2.0mm (exposed area). Terraco Weathercoat Hydra should be left to cure for at least 7 days before water flood testing.
