Product Overview

Weathercoat Seal is a one component fluid applied, highly flexible waterproof coating designed for use as a water resistive barrier and air barrier on exterior wall substrates.

Properties

Weathercoat Seal has the following properties:

  • Fire resistance: Complies with class-A requirement according to ASTM E-84
  • Permanent waterproof coating
  • Excellent Adhesion
  • High UV and weather resistance
  • Low VOC
  • Seamless permanent coating

Areas Of Use

Weathercoat Seal can be applied on exterior wall substrates such as:

  • Sheathing boards that are located behind most wall claddings (mainly EIFS and metal panels)
  • Precast concrete
  • Concrete blocks
  • High and low rise residential and commercial buildings

Application Method

Surface Preparation 

Ensure substrates are clean and sound. Scrape and brush off all loose and friable material. Ensure the surfaces are free from salt, oil, grease, and ridges. Remove all existing coatings, cement laitance, honeycombing and spalling concrete by suitable mechanical means.

Priming 

  • Apply one coat of diluted Terraco Terrabond-A (1:5 ratio)
  • Metal/steel/GI surfaces (flashing corners/screw heads) should be primed with undiluted Terraco
    Terrabond AP201 prior to application of Terraco Weathercoat Seal.

Application 

  • Thoroughly mix Terraco Weathercoat Seal to a homogenous consistency. Terraco Weathercoat Seal is a ready to use material. Dilution is not required.
  • Apply the first coat of Terraco Weathercoat seal, ensure that the surface is free from pin holes and blisters. Allow it to dry for 4 – 6 hours.
  • Apply the second coat of Terraco Weathercoat Seal. Allow it to dry.
