Product Overview

Terrafix W11 is a versatile wall tile adhesive with excellent non-slump characteristics. It is both hydraulically and organically bound, guaranteeing good adhesion of the tile to the surface. It complies with the requirements as per EN12004 and passes all tests required for C1T classified adhesives.

Application Method

Surface Preparation:

Ensure that the surface to be covered is clean and free of foreign matter. Absorbent and porous substrate should be wetted thoroughly with water prior to the application of Terrafix W11. Dusting surfaces should be treated with a penetrating primer.

Mixing:

Add about 5.2- 5.6 litres of water to 20kg of Terrafix W11 and mix thoroughly to a thick and creamy consistency. Let it stand for 5 minutes, re-stir and apply.

Application:

Apply Terrafix W11 in a layer approximately 3mm thick to the surface with the smooth side of a notched trowel. Pull the trowel through the applied layer with the notched edge. Push the tiles into place so that full adhesion is obtained. Fix tiles before the adhesive has surface dried.

Plan work accordingly. Prepared material must be used within 1 hour.

Clean tools and equipment with water after use.

Spacing:

To ensure even spacing, tile spacers of the required thickness are recommended.

Expansion Joints

Expansion joints, when necessary, should be incorporated in the design stage.
